Applications:
- Cr- Mo steels, such as 9 Cr – I Mo steel plates
and pipes. - Suitable use in oil refineries, powerhouses,
petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants etc. - Corrosion and heat resistance applications
- Repair of the casting of similar composition.
Description
MOLY CHROME- 5 is a medium heavy coated, hydrogen controlled, iron powder electrode producing a weld deposit
containing 5 Cr – 0.50 Mo. The weld metal has excellent creep resistance at elevated temperatures up to 6500C. The
coating is specially formulated to resist moisture pickup under conditions of high humidity. Welds are of radiography
quality. Metal recovery is above 110%.
